We held our sixth meeting of the co-operative local forum ('cluster') on Saturday 28 November 2015 - one year since the first.
Turnout was lower than at the last meeting - it was cold and wet and Christmas is getting near. Colleagues attended from Wilbraham Road store and head office.
The meeting heard about plans and activities including:
- Progress with the local products survey
- Plans to set up a new website, newsletter and get a pop-up banner
- Contibution to Santa's grotto in Alexandra Park
- Initial planning for Fair Trade fortnight.
Members were updated on developments in the Co-op structure including the first meeting of the North West Co-op Constituency Forum and elections for a fourth member director.
There was a report on performance in the local stores, where trade is going up fast. There is a new store on Birley Campus in Hulme.
The forum agreed to expand to include this new store, so will be re-named Chorlton, Whalley Range and Hulme Co-operative Local Forum.
