Co-op Cluster meeting 11 March 2017

Following successful events for Fairtrade Fortnight, lots of ideas for next steps

As usual, a great turnout for the Chortlton, Whalley Range and Hulme Co-op Cluster meeting on 11 March.

We heard report-backs from the various events organised for Fairtrade Fortnight: fairtrade food tastings in all 5 food stores and a fairtrade wine evening at the Chorlton Funeralcare hub. We also supported other events, including a fairtrade tasting for staff and students at Whalley Range High School. All events went well.

Lots of discussion on ideas for next steps, including:

  • An evening event focusing on local co-op history
  • Another attempt to work with local co-operative academy schools.

Minutes will be available shortly.
